Typography in my mind had all this stigma. It seemed so foreign to me. Then I had my final project given to me. I had no idea how involved I would become. I had to extract the content from two of our class books and condensed the info. I wanted to make sure the book had a high degree of legibility so I used Garamond as a body copy typeface. I used a condensed sans-serif typeface as chapter markers. I integrated a timeline throughout the book with important dates related to the field of typography. Every graphic in the book had to be hand made in order for it to print legibly. I was forced to use the grid carefully throughout 89 pages of content. More importantly than all the small factors was the gargantuan feat of condensing several dense chapters into an easy to understand layout.
