After completing the Typography book, I had no trouble condensing the info into one easy to read page. That’s not true at all. Condensing a book into one page is difficult to do for anyone. I tried to stick to the fundamentals and the elements that make up all of what designers have to pay attention to. I thought of the similarities of typography to the tree and roots of any idea. I used the framework of typography and the foundation to create the roots and ground. I used the trunk, branches, and stems to show how it has grown. We have refined and shaped our letters into all kinds of different unique leaves, but they still communicate just as effectively. The challenge was picking out which parts of the letters were which and illustrating that to a passing viewer while catching their attention.
